Mission and Outreach

Outreach Sundays

There is a continual ingathering of non-perishable food items as well as household items which benefits the Franklin Community Food Pantry at St. Francis. Ingathering baskets are in the Foyer as well as a list of most needed items on the bulletin board. A volunteer delivers the items to the Food Pantry the 2nd Sunday of every month. Please support this wonderful ministry!

Life Enrichment Center

The Life Enrichment Center is a food pantry in Dayton. They need egg cartons for distributing eggs to needy families. If you could please bring in your used egg cartons, there will be a container in the Foyer for them.

Eyeglass Collection

The Parish Health Ministry at St. Francis is continually sponsoring an Eyeglass Collection with the help of Will Frush a Lions Club member. Please put any gently used and old eyeglasses and sunglasses in a box on the table in the Foyer.

Ronald McDonald House

In an effort to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald Houses in our area, St. Francis' Outreach Ministry collects the little tabs you pull to open soda, soup or other aluminum cans. The funds generated from recycling these aluminum gems help offset the House’s expenses. Every year, more than $10,000 is raised. Collecting pop tabs is a great program that benefits the Ronald McDonald House families. Please find the collection box on the table in the Foyer to drop off your tabs. You can also find a small blue box to personally take home to fill up with tabs and bring back later.
